The 2nd in command of the former Maute group (now ISIS), Col. Boyan, showed his groups allegiance by integrating large parts of Negros into the islamic state. Counterattacks of the government forces were stopped. The sharia law is now officially in effect while the AFP is withdrawing to Visayas.
Col. Boyan put to notice that every citizen or soldier converting to Islam and swearing allegiance to ISIS will be spared.
